Today I am going to review the Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa.
Unfortunately, I was not blessed with a great skin, so I need to work very hard to keep it looking healthy. I discovered the Vanity Planet brush through the numerous sponsored ads on Youtube, as I am sure you have come across to as well. I am not sponsored by Vanity planet to tell you how great the Ultimate Skin Spa brush is, instead I am giving you my 100% honest opinion.
Here it comes- the good, the bad and the ugly.
Firstly, I think we need to take a moment and appreciate the beautiful design. The white and blue color scheme is super stylish, I love it so much!
It comes in a wonderful protective box in a matching baby blue color, which is perfect for storage and travel if you have the extra space in your suitcase (which I usually don’t but it is good to have).
Inside the box, we have the battery operated device along with the 3 brush heads – 2 with bristles and 1 silicone.
- The silicone brush is designed for sensitive and irritable skin. It helps to unclog the pores while gently massaging the skin. Spoiler alert: It feels awesome!
- The daily cleansing brush has soft bristles and is designed for daily use. I like to use this one in the morning to remove the residue from all the skin care products I put on my face the night before.
- The exfoliating brush… you guessed it! … It exfoliates. The bristles on this one are stiffer so you have to be very careful when using this one because you can easily over exfoliate and trust me it neither looks nor feels as exciting as it sounds. This is exactly the reason I rarely use this brush anymore.
The Ultimate Skin Spa brush has two speeds which can be adjusted by pressing the blue button on the front. You use the same button for turning it on and off.
Now for the bad stuff… When using the brush on the faster speed, the product clusters on the edge of the brush head and it splashes all over the walls and floor. I am not sure if this is an issue with my particular brush or an overall defect with the model.
I’ve been using the brush for over 6 months and I can definitely say that it has improved my skin.
Overall, I give this brush a 4.5 out of 5 stars due to splash issue. The retail price of the Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa is $129.99. However, there are so many coupons online for 70% off that it would be a crime to buy it for $129.99.
