Today’s post is a little bit different from what I usually write about. I recently finished reading “Girlboss” by Sophia Amoruso founder of the online fashion store – Nasty Gal. She is such an inspiring, badass woman that will instantly provoke you to become a better version of yourself. She shares her tips and girlboss habits that helped her become the woman she is today. I highly recommend the book to everyone looking for motivation!  In this post I will share with you my personal girlboss habits that I have implemented in my life and that will help you accomplish your goals.

  1.  Wake up earlySet alarm early girlboss habits - a fairytale of my own
    If you want to be successful with your goals, learning to wake up early is key. I was not always an early riser and until this day I still struggle sometimes. But once you get used to waking up early, you will feel so energized, you will be more productive and get so much more done. One way to teach yourself to be an early riser is to find something that will excite you every single morning. To me, that’s food and coffee (Not even sorry!).
      
  2. Make your bed 
     
    You might be asking yourself “How the hell is making my bed going to make me more successful?”. Making your bed first thing in the morning gives you the sense of productivity. There are multiple studies showing that people who make their bed have a bigger chance of being successful. Strange, I know. But does it make you feel good when you go back home and your bed is a mess? Me neither! So try this out for a few weeks and I guarantee you, you will see the benefits.

        
  3. Fuel your body with the right foods
      
    You can’t expect your body to do a good job of running around and accomplishing goals if you don’t treat it right! Eating well will make you feel energized while on the other hand nutritionally poor meals will make you feel sluggish. Treat your food as fuel for your body- if you fuel it with good foods such as vegetables, fruits, nuts etc. it will perform better.   4. Exercise 
      
    Exercise is good for you! We all agree on that! There are numerous benefits to exercising. It teaches you strength not only physically but mentally too. If you are not used to working out, experiment with different types of workouts to see which ones you like best.Adding as little as 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week can significantly improve not only your appearance but the overall quality of your life.

      
  5. Plan your day

    If you want to be successful you need to get into the habit of planning. You don’t want to go through your day realizing that you didn’t accomplish any of your important tasks for the day. That’s why it is very important to plan your day ahead to make sure that those tasks actually get checked off your to-do list. I personally keep my planner with me most of the time and jot down everything the second it comes to mind. Otherwise, there is a possibility to forget something important.
        
  6. Be frugal
     
    This is a hard one for me, I have to admit but it is one of the most important girlboss habits on this list. I’ve always been the type of person who sees something cute and buys it without even thinking about the price. But with time I realized that I can’t have all the cute shoes in the world ( and at some point in life I did try really hard ). I don’t say I’m a master saver now but I do understand the importance of being frugal with your money and that should count for something, right?

  7. Beat procrastination
      
    Procrastination is a common issue – everyone struggles with it. But if you want to be successful you need to acknowledge the issue and take actions. I find that the best way of beating procrastination is to just get up and do what needs to be done. You will feel so much better after you complete the task. The minute you start postponing things it will become a habit. You have to do the laundry? Just get up and do it. Then check it off your list. I know it is easier said than done but if you practice this approach you will create a habit of not putting things off which will help you beat procrastination.
